This isn’t just about making clothes; it’s about creating something meaningful, something that serves a purpose; tells a story.

about.
I'm Jeilyn Mendoza Martin, a Xicana artist and designer from San Leandro, California. Working towards my BFA in Fashion Design.
Ultimately, my dream is to reach a level of stability where I can launch my own brand, ECHO RESISTENCIA, a mix of english and spanish; relating to my mexican roots and my work being a reflection, or an echo, of the resistance of my ancestors—a label dedicated to accessibility, sustainability, and ethical production.
I want to be intentional about every aspect of the process, from sourcing materials and fibers to the way garments are made, experienced and consumed. If I can, I want to work with and invest in high-quality fibers and yarns that not only enhance the final product but also align with my values of responsible consumption. This isn’t just about making clothes; it’s about creating something meaningful, something that serves a purpose; tells a story.
